I have dreamed of visiting Australia since I was 15 years old, and now, in my 30s, I finally have the chance to make it happen. With the ability to take almost the whole month of May off work—my birthday month!—I'm beyond excited to embark on this trip of a lifetime. Exploring the Great Barrier Reef, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, has always been at the top of my bucket list, and I can't wait to experience its beauty firsthand.

To make the most of this adventure, I plan to rent a camper van and drive from Brisbane up to Cairns for a week, taking in the stunning coastline and unique sights along the way. I want to experience the outer reef, which means booking boat rentals and excursions, as well as renting gear for snorkeling and diving. Gas prices have been surging lately, and the costs of food, travel, and accommodations for a whole month add up quickly. I also hope to climb the bridge that overlooks the Sydney Opera House, another dream experience for me.
