The Across the Bay challenge is a 5km open water swim across Tralee Bay.  It starts at Derrymore and ends in Fenit.  This is a big under taking for me as I am new to open water swimming.  I aim to raise a €1000 per Km, so €5000 in total.  There is about 50 days of training between now and the swim so I need to make €100 a day.  The reason for all of this is in my photo below.
My youngest daughter, Peppy, has Down syndrome and we have been supported by a fabulous charity, Down Syndrome Kerry, since her birth 12 years ago.  We want to raise €5000 for Down Syndrome Kerry so Peppy can keep availing of essential services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and much more.  Thanks for your support.
