Rachelle "Bad Bones" Hillin Battles Leukemia
Donation protected
Rachelle was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia on June 1, 2020.
She was extremely fatigued and short of breath for a little over a week when she went to her doctor on May 26 for a check up and blood work. That evening, she got a phone call from the blood lab and her doctor instructing her to go to the ER immediately because her red blood cell count was critically low. She stayed in the ER overnight, received several blood transfusions, and went through a painful bone marrow biopsy the next day. A few days later, on June 1st, we received the news that she needs intensive chemotherapy and a month-long hospital stay. Her hospital admission day is June 8th.
My younger sister is a feisty, talented, beautiful young woman with a lot to look forward to in life. Her prognosis is good and has her family and lots of friends near her for support. But this will be tough, long road to full recovery as treatment will continue once she is out of the hospital, and she may yet a need a bone marrow transplant later on. But Rachelle "Bad Bones" Hillin is the toughest person I know and she will come through this!
Her medical bills remain an unknown at this time so I created this campaign to help cover treatment costs and bills while she is unable to work. Please donate if you can! I know these are tough times for so many right now, so you can also show love by sharing this campaign with your friends and families. Prayers and good thoughts are needed too!
Thank you in advance for your love and support of Rachelle!
