Rachelle Needs Us: Paul's Legacy of Kindness

My name is Rachelle Rodarte, and I was married to a wonderful man named Paul. He brought light into darkness. He was always first in line to hand out whatever was needed. Paul's gift was his generosity and his ability to make others laugh to raise their spirits. He could defuse tense situations at work or in the community by bringing laughter and peace. Even when times were tight for us, he would help his new employees coming to town with supplies for their house. And for us at home, Paul was always generous with time and caring for me during medical challenges.

We met in 2000 at my very best, and a week later I broke my back. We were married 20 years this year, and he has been with me through all my surgeries, big and small. He always added something special to occasions, like Valentine's Day. And we found solace in the mountains, hiking together or picnicking.

Unfortunately, I lost him very suddenly from a heart attack this March. He had a clean bill of health 6 weeks ago, so this was a shock. I was there to administer CPR at the end, to give back to Paul for the many times he sustained me and was there for me.

Paul was our sole breadwinner for the family, through various full-time jobs over the year. So now, I have some leftover medical bills and car payments from a recent accident that I need help to cover. I'm seeking help to cover these, and I am so grateful for whatever you can provide.
