Rachel's Vision for Bathrooms on Los Angeles Skid Row
My goal is to put 100 portable bathrooms that are cleaned and sanitized twice a day for one whole year on Los Angeles Skid Row.
My name is Rachel Anna and I am 9 years old. I share a bathroom with my 7 year old brother Gideon and sometimes that is hard, when you gotta go, you gotta go!
Do you have a good experience sharing a bathroom with your family? or at sporting events and concerts?
Los Angeles Skid Row has only 13 bathrooms for 2500 people that sleep on the street each night. This is the worst man made disaster in the United States!
That means there is currently 192 people per bathroom on Skid Row; a Syrian refugee camp would require 180 more toilets, which is about 13 people per toilet. See Video Link
So people are pooping and peeing all over the streets. GROSS!
Living in it. Making disease. They have no where else to go to the bathroom.
Los Angeles is one on the richest cities in the world. My heart Hurts!
My goal is to put 100 portable bathrooms that are cleaned and sanitized twice a day for one whole year on Skid Row.
I have researched that it will cost me about $400 per month per toilet.
$400 X 100 toilets X 12 Months = $480,000.
So to do this for one year, I need to raise $480,000.
Please help me achieve my goal to better the lives of these humans in a small, but meaningful way.
If you can't donate directly, please share this with a friend.
To keep me accountable to your money, once the money is raised, I want to partner with my dad's friend Andy Bales, who is the CEO of the Union Rescue Mission and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.
My goal is to raise the money needed by the end of 2019.

More about me:
My name is Rachel Anna. I am 9 years old. I am in the 4th grade. I play soccer and softball. I also like to swim and dive. I love art. I attend Church and Awana's every Week.
Catalyst:
I just was telling my teacher about how my Church packed 500,000 meals for the Feed My Starving Children Organization, which will feed 1,300 kids for a year. She suggested I find a cause of my own and start a Go Fund Me campaign as a school project. I wanted to do something for the city I live in, so here we go!
My dad has been doing prison and homeless ministries for the last 20 years.

Thanks for your support!
Let's put a little dignity and love on the streets of Skid Row together!
