With great sadness, on Sunday, June 7, 2020, our beloved Rachael M. Powell (age 33) unexpectedly passed away from causes unknown at this time. Rachael was a compassionate, loving, adventurous woman who was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a niece, a cousin, and a friend. Loved by so many. Missed by so many. Rachael leaves behind her two small children that now must move forward in a world without their Mom.
Rachael’s family is in shock and the grief is unbearable. Rachael had expressed that she wanted to be laid to rest next to her beloved brother Isaac who passed away 13 years ago. Her family has now experienced two tragic deaths and never expected to have to bury another child.
Rachael’s family is reaching out asking for help during this tragic life alternating event they now face. We understand that times are difficult for many with what is going on in the world with COVID and many uncertainties. However, if you can donate please do, we are trying to help her family with the final arrangements. The goal is to raise money that will help alleviate the financial burden that comes with the sudden passing of a loved one (proper funeral services) and provide some support for her two young sons; Isaac (age 10), and Gabriel (age 4) in these troubling times.
While we are all in a state of heartbreak, we have this opportunity to help this family and let them know they are not alone.
This is a request for a helping hand. This is a time to come together to heal together.
We will hold a viewing for our local community as well as a “Celebration of Life”. For those able to attend in person, we want this to be your opportunity to come and share with us your favorite memories with Rachael. For those too distant, we will LIVE stream the service.
Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”
