On June 25th our beloved Rachel Ortega lost her life after many years of struggling to survive. 

Rachel grew up in Highland Park and was the oldest of 5 children. She took on the responsibility of raising all 4 of her siblings after both of their parents passed away.  
She was only 18 at the time and had a very difficult task ahead of her but she was determined to keep them all together.

Even though she had a difficult life Rachel was always kind and generous and went out of her way to help others in need. 

Her beautiful smile, big heart and outgoing personality will be deeply missed! 

We are trying to raise funds to help her family pay for cremation and to help her sister who will be raising her daughter that she leaves behind.
