Rachel Chavez Silva Memorial Fund
Our precious Mama passed into the home of our Heavenly Father on July 18 surrounded by her loving family.
She was a warrior; faithful and strong. She gave her best all the way to the end as she battled Stage 4 endometrial cancer.
Each of us knew every second and every day was a priceless gift. We lived, loved and connected more deeply with our faith, just as she wanted.
Mama carried the light of the Lord and she shared it with everyone she came in contact with. As her children, we were blessed to be raised by such a wonderful mother.
She graduated with a BS in Sociology and immediately became licensed in Social Work. She found great fulfillment in serving others while working for a local hospice center.
We would like to acknowledge Dr. Hirsch and his lovely team of nurses at the Walker Cancer Center for their care. They gave Mama dignity and grace in the midst of an uncertain and often time tumultuous challenge. We love them dearly. They give her their absolute best.
We are humbled and grateful to you all for the love that has been shown to us during this time. We will be laying her to rest in a private ceremony for her immediate family.
In lieu of flowers we would ask you to contribute to this fund to help cover her medical expenses. While we don't yet know how much it will take please know we are extremely grateful for your help.
In love,
The family of Rachel Linda Chavez Silva
