Rachel and Mario

Life can flash within the blink of an eye and it makes you realize how precious and valuable life is. Monday night Rachel & Mario were on their way home from dinner with friends when they were involved in a vehicle accident. We are heartbroken and devastated because Mario passed away that night.

Mario was loved by many and had a heart of gold. He helped more people than can be counted for and would give you the shirt off his back. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for his family and friends. He will truly be missed and we cannot wait to see you again.

His beloved wife was transported to NCH from the scene of the accident. She has a skull fracture ranging from her left ear across the top of her head almost to the right ear. She has a small depression fracture behind that and the frontal sutures at her forehead separated. She has a epidural hematoma on the left side (2 mm brain bleed). She was transferred to Gulf Coast trauma ICU and then to trauma step down. She is stable, resting, and working towards getting back on her feet. The next step is physical therapy. It will be a long journey for her but she has a great support team comprised of family and friends that will help her along the way.

Anything that can be donated will go towards medical bills and funeral costs for Mario. We greatly appreciate you showing your love & support during such a difficult time.
