Rachel and Joey have been indefinitely displaced from their apartment in Elmhurst due to a 5-alarm fire on Tuesday evening (the day before their vacation). Thankfully they and everyone in the building got out with their lives, but the water and smoke damage is extensive and we doubt any belongings can be salvaged. Luckily Joey got home in time to rush in and save their elderly cat.
I am hoping friends, family, coworkers, and any other generous souls can rally around these awesome people and get them on their feet & ready to start hunting for a new apartment as soon as possible.
Thank you for your love and support!
I will update this as soon as I find other ways people can help, but feel free to reach out to me if you want to donate: apartment leads (!!!), lawyer referral (!!!), store cards, household goods, groceries, etc.
