This GoFundMe is raising funds for Racheal Dahler who has Cystic Fibrosis, a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.
In December 2013, Racheal received a double lung transplant. Because of this, she has lived a wonderful life for the past decade. Racheal became a mother to two beautiful girls and is currently a foster parent to another. She has also had an opportunity to be an amazing aunt to many nieces and nephews. Racheal has spoiled those around her with delicious sweet treats for years.
Unfortunately, Racheal has also struggled with many bouts of rejection over the years. These complications are outside of her control, and despite her healthy lifestyle and daily fight to live, she is in need of a second transplant.
Racheal’s career as a hair stylist flourished until the pandemic, as she had to step away from the public to keep herself healthy.
Therefore, all funds raised will help with the plethora of expenses that will be incurred during her transplant. For example, the cost of a hotel for Racheal and a caregiver, as she will have many appointments during the first few weeks after being discharged, so it will be best to stay close by the hospital. After that, funds will help with the cost of gas cost to travel back and forth to Madison, WI for additional follow-up appointments for a year following the transplant. It will also help with other expenses during the time of her transplant.
Please keep Racheal, her daughters, and her family in your thoughts and prayers now and throughout the entire transplant process. Racheal has so much to live for and has beautiful girls to watch grow into amazing young women.
Thank you to all who donate and share her story.
