RACETRACK WARFARE

My name is Vanessa Alexander. I am an investigative researcher, a shit magnet, and advocate for the welfare and safety of the nation's racehorses and horsemen. I also believe in government transparency, enforcing integrity standards, and protecting due process and civil rights.

The staff and politically-appointed officials of the New Mexico Racing Commission strongly disagree with those beliefs, and they have viciously attacked me for exposing and reporting the astounding incompetence, corruption, civil rights violations, and illicit criminal activities that are taking place in what is nothing less than a half-billion dollar regulatory capture scheme.

I have been under constant attack since I began to investigate, document, and report the misconduct taking place. Desperate to stop me, the NMRC, their masters, and their cronies have waged a war of slander, defamation, and torment against me.

To give you an idea of the depths of their depravity - I am the victim of a Red Flag/SWAT Hoax orchestrated by panicked NMRC staff, officials, and cronies only a few hours after a confidential report I had written was leaked to them. These unhinged bullies threw together a series of crazy, bizarre false stories about me to law enforcement - making a phony 911 call and cause multiple law enforcement agencies to respond to a fake "active shooter" call.

On January 20, 2022, the NMRC's Chairman - infamous scandal-soaked bully Sam Bregman - unhappy that I wasn't backing down from exposing the incompetence and criminal activities of his cohorts, outrageously violated my First Amendment rights and viciously degraded me in public, repeating the lies his minions had told to law enforcement.

Law enforcement eventually closed their investigation and completely vindicated me. Not only was there no evidence of any kind supporting the NMRC's asinine allegations, law enforcement concluded that the actual reason the NMRC contacted them was to stop my research and investigation.

Only 4 days after law enforcement closed the NMRC's false allegations case, the NMRC filed the most grotesque, psychotic ex-parte petition for emergency restraining order and preliminary injunction against me - repeating different versions of the same allegations that law enforcement had just concluded never happened, and deliberately failing to mention that law enforcement had vindicated me.

Of course, I filed a countersuit. The judge threw the NMRC's screwball petition out, and my litigation remains.

In addition to the Red Flag Hoax, the defamation, the slander, the harassment, the civil rights violations, the perjury to the court, and so much more, the NMRC has continued to refuse to produce public records I have requested. These records will further prove the incompetence, misconduct, and illicit acts of NMRC staff, officials and their cronies.

While I have been fighting the NMRC's attacks, I have continued to research and expose the litany of mind-blowing incompetence, corruption, fraud, abuse, doping, and deaths taking place on New Mexico race tracks while the NMRC and tracks aggressively try to conceal these facts.

Through sheer stubborn tenacity and duty to the horses and horsemen, I have refused to back down. As the tide slowly turned, my hard-fought victories have fueled my resistance, and now I need as much help as I can to get to the finish line.

New Mexico's reputation as the most poorly-run, corrupt state in the nation is accurate and well deserved. Fighting for my civil rights, fighting to expose the doping and deaths, fighting to expose the massive fraud, and exposing the corruption of multiple government officials and agencies has incredibly made my search for competent and honest legal representation in this state nearly impossible: State corruption is a huge industry in which millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars are spent paying hundreds of private attorneys and their firms to defend the enormous number of incompetent and corrupt New Mexico state employees and officials. In turn, those private attorneys can look forward to politically-appointed seats on state commissions and boards, and on state and federal benches as judges.

I will expose the corruption taking place the best way I know how: obtaining and publishing evidence. But the war has reached the stage in which I need help to continue, and that means a showdown in court.

I am asking for help raising the necessary funds to retain a competent attorney(s) who will fight the fights that I can't, protect me from the ongoing harassment, and support my mission of getting justice for the horsemen and horses who have been ruined by these people.
