Ireland's First Virtual 3km Race/Walk in aid of raising money for the Front Line Workers that are helping in the fight against the Corona Virus.
As a nation we are really proud of how, we as Irish people, are all coming together for the good of our country.
As athletes/recreational runners/walkers we understand the power of teamwork and the importance of rallying together when the chips are down. Our amazing HSE staff and volunteers are working tirelessly to look after Covid-19 patients.
Let’s do our part to help keep them safe by committing to a Virtual 3km Race, starting April 8th. We simply ask that you donate at least €5 to enter because together, we can help beat this thing! All proceeds will be donated to the HSE for purchase of PPE.
Please set a good example by following all the government recommendations – stay solo, stay local and keep your distance from others.
Once you enter, please send a screenshot of your entry to our facebook page and I will record it. Then, once you have raced your 3km please send us a picture of your Strava, your Garmin, your FitBit, your GPS watch, or whatever it may be showing your time and distance.
We will then record this and we will have a visual leaderboard that will be updated each night for the next 3 weeks.
Many people would be entering for local road races, half marathons, and marathons now that Spring has hit so why not get your competitive spirit back and take part in the fight against the Corona Virus by racing "virtually" and by raising money for those frontline staff workers. People of all levels and ages are encouraged to take part regardless if you are running or walking.
