Race in person at the World Rowing Indoor Champs

Hi, My name is Lesley and I am asking you to support my trip to the World Rowing Indoor Championships in Prague, 23-24 Feb, 2024.

When recovering from a neck injury I found the growing sport of indoor rowing. After winning some State and Australian titles, setting a national record in my age group, I wanted to see if I could try this sport on the world stage. My first time competing at WRICH 2021 was virtual due to covid, at 1am due to living in Australia. In 2023, again at 1am I managed at 3rd place.

Virtual is not the same as in real life. There is a lot of dabate over if the two types of entry should even race against each other. A 1am race is much harder than a day time event.

This is why I am asking for donations to help me get from Australia to Prague to compete at WRICH 2024 in person.

The funds will be used for airfares and accommodation for a week in Prague. If there is more than $5000 raised the excess will be given to Commercial Rowing Club in Brisbane to aid other rowers compete nationally and internationally.
