VALLEY OF THE SUN STAGE RACE

Leo Torcat has been our professional coach for quite some time. He is the consummate professional and possibly one of the most unselfish human beings in the sport. He has trained, provided leadership, and spearheaded numerous rides where he has attempted--and often succeeded--at turning ordinary week-end riders into amateur competitors and avid riders. All of this at no charge to members of Focus Cycling Team. He is the glue that holds the team together.

Leo is an accomplished rider and many times State Champion, along with countless additional accomplishments. Above all, he is a friend to many of us in the Focus Cycling Team. He is now on his way to Phoenix to participate in the challenging Valley of the Sun Stage Race, one of the most important USA Cycling sanctioned races. The rate is comprised of three stages : Time Trial, Road Race, and Criterium (his specialty). In order to make the podium and represent all of us, he has been training very hard and is ready for this competition. As it is the case with key competitions within the USA Cycling races, the cost is considerable.

And here is precisely where we need help to cover transportation (both for himself and his equipment), as well as lodging and meals (very necessary for competing).
