Fundraiser to help Ghada's children from Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Lucrezia. I created this fundraiser in hopes of helping a friend, Ghada, and her family of three children. Ghada and her family faced very difficult conditions in Gaza after October 7, they were displaced several times between central and southern Gaza and lost everything. After various attempts and slow procedures, the family managed to leave Gaza to safety in Egypt, where they are currently located. Ghada needs your help to allow her two children (Osama and Yousef) to continue their education at school, to guarantee them a better future. Thank you in advance for every donation that will be made, each of us can help those in need and it is a great gesture of solidarity.
"I am Ghada Safadi, and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart but also with hope in my soul. I am from Gaza Strip, Palestine, where life, once beautiful and serene, has been shattered by the ravages of war.
I want to take you on a journey through the contrasting chapters of my life. Imagine the joyous scenes of my beloved family – my husband and our three precious sons, Osama “8 Years old”, Yousef “6 Years old”, and Salam “1Year old”. In Gaza, we lived a life filled with simple pleasures – watching our children grow, providing them with the best education we could afford, and cherishing moments at the beach every Friday.
But then, the unimaginable struck. War descended upon us, tearing apart the fabric of our existence. We were displaced not once, not twice, but three agonizing times. Our home, the sanctuary where we built our dreams, was reduced to rubble before our eyes.
The familiar routines of life were replaced by a grim struggle for survival.
My heart aches as I recount the hardships my family endured – the scarcity of food and milk for our little ones, I loss my job, and the harrowing experience of living in a tent amidst adversity. Yet, through sheer determination, we found a sliver of hope.
After sacrificing everything we owned, we managed to secure passage to Egypt, where we faced untold challenges, while I navigated the labyrinth of restrictions at the border. Every penny of our savings was spent on renting a modest shelter and meeting basic needs in a foreign land (Egypt).
Now, as a mother, my heart is heavy with the weight of responsibility. I believe fervently in the power of education to illuminate the path forward for my children. They have already endured the loss of precious time and suffered greatly. It is with this plea that I turn to you in our time of need.
I humbly ask for your support to ensure that Osama and Yousef can resume their education in Egyptian schools. The road ahead is fraught with financial obstacles.
- Rehabilitation and integration lessons for Osama and Yousef for 6 Months: € 4,800 (€ 400 * 2 children * 6 months)
- Registration and other fees for Osama & Yousef in School: € 5,450 (€ 2,725 per year * 2 children)
Thank you for taking the time to read and your contributions for the future of my sons
