Rab started with Dundee City Council in 2001 when he joined Dundee CLD Youth Work Team. He then moved to Home School Support Services before accepting a senior post at PACE off site education. Rab was there for a year before joining the Youth Offending Team (CHOICE) where he has remained, the team now being the Adolescent 2 Team.

Rab said "I feel privileged to have worked with some of the most dedicated professionals/individuals in all aspects of my work. Their sense of optimism and genuinely non judgemental attitudes throughout some very stressful periods has shown me the true meaning of people who really care.
