Raasay Sustainability Documentary

Donation protected
Hi!
For our final year film, Jess, Joe and I are creating a 15 minute documentary about sustainability on the Isle of Raasay.
A look into “idyllic” life on a remote sustainable Scottish island. One hotel, three B&Bs, two shops, one primary school and a distillery make up the close-knit community. The Isle of Raasay has around 170 residents and is aiming to become completely sustainable. The challenges they face as a remote island is one thing but becoming sustainable on top of that is another challenge. So, is Raasay the closest to paradise you can get? Is this just a 21st century middle-class fad or can sustainability really be achieved? If true sustainability is achieved, will this set an example for the rest of the world to follow? Or will it just simply be ignored?
We will be filming this in March 2022 and the film will be finished by May 2022 which we then hope to run it in festivals! The money that we crowdfund will go towards travel and accommodation in order to make this (almost 500 mile away) documentary possible.
Any donations are greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
