My name is Roland Guerin. I'm a New Orleans based bassist, songwriter and a producer.

I recently released a single entitled Black Coffee, which is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby. Black Coffee is one of ten songs that will be featured on my new album entitled Grass Roots.

Grass Roots is all about family and the good things we come from. I/we did everything that could possibly be done to complete this project at our home studio. I took it as far as I can on my own. The album now needs to be mixed, mastered, duplicated and promoted. This is where I need your help.

I am aiming to raise 15k by November 15th, 2016. Your generosity and support will enable me to provide payment for mixing, mastering, CD duplication and promotion. It will also enable me to promote my new single Black Coffee, which is an important part of this project.

Grass Roots is my seventh CD to date, but it is the first of many to come that will feature more of my singing, soloing and storytelling.

I’ve been blessed to have had the honor and privilege of performing with and learning from Allen Toussaint and Alvin Batiste, both of whom have been my mentors and an important source of inspiration throughout my life and my career. Grass Roots reflects their influence as well that of Sting, Peter Gabriel, Louis Johnson and Stanley Clark, to name a few.

I'm super excited about this project and about bringing my music to you and to the world! This is a real dream for me and I thank you deeply for sharing it with me and helping me realize it :)
