Onyx needs surgery

08/13/22 Unfortunately, Onyx passed away yesterday. The tumor in his ear was too much for this poor buddy to bear. We appreciate your donations, and if you'd like a refund, please let me know. Otherwise, the money will go towards local shelters and adopting a new cat when we're ready.

Hi everyone,

On 08/08/22, we found out that my twelve-year-old cat, Onyx, has ear cancer and will need an ear canal ablation (which can cost up to $2,500 per my research). This is devastating enough, but he first needs to get a CT scan, which ranges between $2,000 and $2,500, and he'll need a consultation with a surgeon (price unknown) before being able to schedule the surgery.

I've had Onyx since August of 2011—11 years now. He's my emotional support, I'm his emotional support, and the idea of losing him to this is terrifying. I feel so responsible for his pain, for what he's enduring, and I hate how difficult it is to get him help (and how darn expensive).

Anything you can contribute to help would be greatly appreciated. A few dollars or even a purchase of one of my books (ebook/paperback on Amazon) could help, also. Onyx and I would greatly appreciate your support through these times. We have a few months of rough times ahead.
