We are raising money to support Auto-Immune employees who may need financial assistance due to the Covid-19 outbreak. As you may be aware, 21 members of the Auto-Immune Team have been furloughed as a result of the decline in our test volume. These employees are diligent colleagues, working tirelessly every day to help people with RA get the Vectra results they need. Now is our opportunity to help our fellow employees.
In order to facilitate individual giving, we have created this GoFundMe page. We will use the dollars raised to first provide these furloughed employees with gift cards that can be used for food, household staples, and other needs.
We are aware other Auto-Immune employees may have partners who have been furloughed or laid off as a result of the pandemic. You can request assistance by emailing the funding committee at [email redacted]. You can also submit a request for assistance on behalf of a co-worker. It’s not always easy to ask for help, and we want you to have a way to support a co-worker who might be struggling. All requests will be reviewed by the funding committee (Bobby Hill, Saskia Wehnelt, Heather McAfee, Jeni James, and Jon Stevens), and support will be provided confidentially.
We do critically important work at Myriad Autoimmune fighting to provide hope for people with RA. Now we have a chance to help each other. Please donate if you can and let us know if you need help. Together as a team, we will get through these difficult times.
