Alleen (coach) Popp Memorial
Donation protected

On April 3, 2016 our lives changed forever. Alleen (coach) Palmer Popp suffered a brain hemorrhage. Any type of medical intervention was deemed unuseful.
The heart. In her selfless way, Alleen had wished to donate her organs - and now her heart and many other parts are on their way to change the lives of other very lucky people. It's a perfect reflection of the generous and loving heart she carried for 50 years, touching everyone's heart along the way.
The boys. Ron, Spencer, Max & Hayden were her universe and she proclaimed it every chance she could. Just look at her facebook page here to see the love and absolute pride she had for her boys. All of them.
The kids. Alleen spent her entire career helping kids. Either in the classroom or on the volleyball court, she poured her heart into everything she committed to. She was a definitely an Elk Rapids Elk, and proud to be one.
This fund is our attempt to help her boys as they overcome this tragedy and build a new life. A life Alleen would have wanted, no doubt. And although she is not physically here, her words, her humor, her laugh and extraordinary love for her family and friends will never be forgotten. The text below is from Alleen's oldest, Spencer, which sums up our loss beautifully.
"Yesterday I let go of the hand that I've been holding for almost 21 years for the very last time as heaven gained possibly the strongest, most caring, loving and compassionate angels there could be. The pain and sadness is immeasurable but equally as strong as the joy and happiness that you still bring us. You always wanted to bring people together and now in these trying times that's exactly what you've done. People I've never met, have shown up to support our family all because of the impact you had on their lives. You've given us everything and for that we will never be able to thank you enough. We all love you more than words can describe momma. I miss you so much, but one day we will see each other again."
