Quinn’s Fearless Fight for Sight
Donation protected
Even though Quinn has her parents, Jp and Laura, her four siblings, Bryanna, Sophie, Emma, and Johnny and an extremely supportive extended family, it’s going to take a village!
Quinn was born with a lymphatic malformation and up until recently it was thought that surgery wasn’t possible. Quinn’s enlarged eye lid is covering her eye and if no intervention is done to open the eye, Quinn will lose her sight. Through social networking and research, the family found The Vascular Birth Institute in NYC. At the first appointment via zoom last week the doctors told the family that they felt surgery was possible for Quinn and an in-person consultation was set for 10/8. On 10/5 we received a life changing phone call. The doctors want to perform the surgery next week. There is an eye specialist needed to assist with the surgery and he only comes to NYC about 1-2 times a year. He’s there next week and they feel Quinn is a priority,so they fit her into his schedule. The excitement of this news was quickly overshadowed by the news that their insurance will not cover the surgery because the surgeons are out-of-network and the hospital is out of state. Surgical costs were estimated to be around $35k. Quinn will also need her parents to be home, taking them away from their jobs as a Nurse and Police Officer, to care for her during her recovery. Please consider donating to help support my sister and JP, the Connolly/Crusco family so they can focus on caring for Quinn.
