A Little Change Makes All the Difference

We are the Deer Park Lady Deer High School soccer team, proud athletes and students of a man who is an integral part of our soccer club. We asked to use this platform to show our support, our love, and our gratitude towards this man, our beloved coach, as he encourages his wife through a challenging fight with kidney cancer. The Flenniken family is near and dear to our hearts, and our hopes are to bring the community together to rally behind them and to ease financial stress.
Coach Flenniken is a compassionate, kind-hearted, and Godly man. He treats everyone he encounters with respect and understanding, maintaining a positive attitude and funny sense of humor through any conversation. Coach Flenniken is a family-oriented man, a role model to not only his own children but to his students as well. He is a girls junior high coach, boys and girls high school coach, history teacher, and an encouraging supporter for other sports and organizations within the school and community.
Mrs. Flenniken is known by many as a strong, kind, and caring woman. She is first and foremost a Godly woman, always remaining steadfast and positive. Mrs. Flenniken continuously radiates thankfulness and displays selflessness. She is a loving mother and wonderful role model to her beautiful children, Will and Carlee, and never ceases to support her husband. Mrs. Flenniken is also family to the community at First Baptist Pasadena where she graciously holds the role of Pre-Teen Ministry Director. She loves her dog Nola and would never be caught cheering for any other team but Louisiana State University (oh, and us!).
Mrs. Flenniken was diagnosed with kidney cancer three years ago. The cancer has now spread to her lymph nodes and is being treated with chemotherapy.
The Flenniken family is not in this fight alone. Although this is an individual diagnosis, it takes the whole family as well as a whole community to fight it. We ask that you help us, not only monetarily, but also with prayers to encourage and support this deserving family in their fight.
WE LOVE YOU COACH FLENNIKEN & MRS. FLENNIKEN!
