Life is Beautiful - A Gift for Miss Keevy

It is with a heavy heart that we share this with you all.

Mairead's firey, beautiful, star-soul daughter, Keeva, has now started chemotherapy for a brain lesion that's started to affect her vision, balance, eating, and quality of life. It's something they've been monitoring for a year now.

Mairead and her partner Zak not surprisingly both quit their jobs upon learning of Miss K's diagnosis, which required a farewell to the home they created together, and they have spent the last year making life beautiful for her.

If you know Mairead, crafting is happening out the wazoo. And dancing whenever possible. And rainbow-making, cuddling, puzzling, cartoon-watching, and cake-eating. And doing all the other things - ND visits & supportive care, energy work, etc. All in between weekly trips to an out-of-town hospital for Miss K's treatments. As we all know, hospital food is gross...

They are surrounded by family and friends, but it's also utterly exhausting and isolating.

It all takes such a toll, with obviously the emotional completely eclipsing the astronomical financial burden.

I know Mairead loves and misses her CCNM fam deeply. There is absolutely no obligation whatsoever to contribute to this fund for her - a small message of support, a fat coffee if you ever see her, a giant hug, a silent few minutes just thinking of and sending love and rainbow magic vibes to Miss K... these are more than enough.

To know Mairead is to love her. While we can't always be there holding her hand, we can absolutely fiercely walk beside her in our hearts.

All of this is such a bittersweet reminder to linger longer, and that life is beautiful.
