Update 11/29

Ashley and Blake are still doing well, all things considered. Ashley is non-weight bearing for three months. I will update again when I know more!

On December 10, there will be a fundraiser at Shawnee Elmwood - all proceeds will go directly to Ashley & Daniel.

Update 11/7

Blake is doing great. He is still very sore. His chest hurts on and off. Thankfully his leg is not as bad as what they first thought. Blake currently has a cast but he is allowed to walk on it as tolerated.

Ashley is now showing signs of a concussion. Her left hand is not broken but has some internal damage. She has a very long road ahead and is facing another surgery on her right ankle in the next week. Ashley’s spirits are high and I credit that to the text and phone calls she has received from all of you.

Physical therapy has worked with her yesterday and today and she was able to sit up today in the wheelchair for a very short time.

Hi, my name is Brandi and I’m helping to fundraise some money for the Carnes family. November 4, Ashley and her son Blake were in a bad car accident.

Blake has a broken leg and a crack in his sternum, he is doing great.

Ashley is out of surgery and still critical. She will not be able to walk for a minimum of 10-12 weeks, but it could be longer. Both ankles, her left leg, and 2 ribs are broken. She has multiple cuts and scrapes and has a very long recovery ahead of her.

Ashley and Blake (as well as Daniel and Elaina) will need support over the coming weeks. Please reach out, send a text or give her a call.
