Help for Sky

Many have heard the news from Mike Boyd’s Facebook account, but those who have not, Sky’s success story has taken a turn for the worst. Recently Sky’s biopsy came back positive for lymphoma. Additionally, he is being tested for cancer in his spine and is back on chemo treatment. Many tests are being done but even with positive results from those tests, his future is cluttered with chemo. He and his father fought through this almost exactly a year ago. This diagnosis leaves them even more devastated the second time around, as this fight is even tougher than the first.

There were so many generous people that came forward a year ago. The people that know Mike, know he is a very fiscally responsible dad for his two boys, but the financial toll of having a child diagnosed with cancer can ruin any household. The funds raised a year ago gave Mike the means to stand by his son’s side day after day, treatment after treatment, and afford the treatment his son deserves. We have reopened this GoFundMe in hopes we can help Mike again through these tough times and allow his focus to be on Sky. Being a new dad myself, his story hurts me to the core. No child’s hand should be left un-held, no tear should be left unwiped, and the darkness that remains ahead should not be faced alone. The pandemic as financially impacted so many families and simply sharing Sky’s story could go a long way. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.
