Laura's cancer battle

Hi, I'm setting up this go fund me on behalf of my friend Laura who was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2024. This has resulted in laura having to have a double mastectomy after two unsuccessful lumpectomys

Since her diagnosis Laura has had to give up work as a health care professional and has been struggling financially since.

She has received little or no help from local authorities towards transport to her appointments before her chemo started which was the start of her financial struggles.

Laura has also struggled to afford some medications as rhey are not covered by medical card this in turn has resulted in her having to choose between medication or food at times.

Since chemo has started Laura has lost her hair and the most recent insult has been she has been told she is not entitled to any form of grant of financial assistance in purchasing a wig or even head pieces.....

Throughout her journey Laura has had to seek help from certain charities to allow her to purchase food. These charities only consider her on a monthly basis and following a battle will then provide her with a voucher of 100euro to use for aldi.

I'm asking anyone that knows Laura or any of my friends or family to please donate any amount towards this worthy cause. As we all know cancer is a disease that none of us ever want us or any of our loved ones to face never mind all the struggles she has had to face with this life changing diagnosis.

With the money received Laura can hopefully purchase a wig and make her feel like a woman again. Financial aid may also help her towards medication costs and reduce her stress levels around this and most importantly assist her towards weekly groceries and day to day living costs along woth heating her home and keeping her warm.
