Help Us Honor Barry’s Life
On Saturday night, our beloved father and husband, Barry, passed away from cardiac arrest after a long and difficult battle with heart failure. Though we knew his heart was struggling, the final moment still came far too soon. As we begin to process the weight of this loss, we’re also faced with the unexpected financial burden of laying him to rest.
Barry was a warm, funny, stubborn, and deeply loving man. He worked for many years as a general contractor—always building, fixing, and providing for our family with his own two hands. But his heart truly came alive in the wild.
He was an avid big game hunter who made unforgettable trips to Alaska, chasing adventure in the most rugged corners of the world. He loved to ski, and some of our happiest memories as a family were spent on the slopes in Mammoth, carving through fresh snow and ending the day around a fire. He also loved camping under the stars, surrounded by nature and the people he loved most—his wife Christina and me, his son Alan.
Barry didn’t need much—just the outdoors, his family, and a good pair of boots—but we want to give him a farewell worthy of the love, courage, and strength he carried through every part of his life, including his final chapter.
We are raising $7,500 to help cover the costs of cremation and a memorial service here in Los Angeles. These funds will go directly toward funeral home services, transportation, and arrangements to celebrate Barry’s life with the dignity he deserves.
If you’re able to contribute, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you can’t give but want to support us, please consider sharing this page with others who knew and loved Barry.
Your generosity, kindness, and prayers mean more than we can ever express.
With love and gratitude,
Alan (Barry’s son) & Christina (Barry’s wife)
