Jean Malhado, 26, of Secaucus NJ, passed away suddenly on January 5, 2022. Jean was born in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. He moved to the United States in 2009, and attended middle and high school in Belleville, NJ. For the last five years, Jean was a resident of Secaucus, NJ, where he lived with his wife Kirsten, and his mother and father-in-law.
Jean was a kind-hearted, fun-loving human who would give you the shirt off his back. His smile and laugh would light up a room, and he was always ready to make a new friend.
Jean was passionate about cooking, the comic book universe, playing video games, watching movies, and listening to music, especially rock. There was not much that Jean did not get enjoyment from. Of the many things that he loved, soccer was his favorite pastime. His passion for soccer started as a child, and his soccer career continued through high school. He recently traveled to Rio to be with his family to watch his favorite team, Flamengo, play in the Copa Libertadores de America final.
Jean spent 4 years in the US Marine Corps serving as an Infantryman. During his service, he was stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, North Carolina. He completed one deployment assignment in Okinawa Japan, where he served as security detail. He completed his enlistment as a Lance Corporal, and due to various medical conditions, became a disabled veteran. Recently he began a new career with the TSA at Newark International Airport.
His wife, Kirsten Malhado, has complete access to this account.
Thank you so much.
