This is Noodle. She was in bad shape when she showed up at my parents' house on Monday morning (April 6th, 2015). Emaciated and heart-breaking to look at, my parents took her to our vet's office where she was given a much-needed bath and a warm place to sleep. When I picked her up this morning, I didn't know what to expect. She walked into the room, so skinny you could see the bones in her tail and only 22 pounds, but she was still full of energy and happy to be around people. We connected immediately.
Our vet did bloodwork and in addition to being malnourished, she has heartworms. It's going to cost about $1500 for her treatment, which I can't start until she gets some meat on her bones. She is the sweetest dog and she doesn't blame people for whatever hell she crawled out of. I can afford to get her vaccinated and spayed, but I can't afford the heartworm treatment. Any help is greatly appreciated.
