Hi everyone,
As many of you know, I've endured a health crisis that's kept me on crutches the past four years and bedridden for two and a half. Across four states, I've done everything I can to figure out the root cause of my pain. The good news is I finally have a diagnosis that makes sense and my pain is currently under control. Consequently, for the first time in years I'm actually making progress. It's an incredible feeling.
However, if the diagnosis is correct (and I hope it is), I have two years of physical therapy ahead of me because my entire body has deteriorated. Obviously, throughout this ordeal I've had to rely very heavily on family to survive. Their support has been absolutely critical. However, given how extreme the situation is, and, the long road ahead, it's time that I asked for help from my wider community of friends. Depending on your own situations, I want to suggest a number of different ways that you could help in my time of need.
First, if you're able, I ask that you donate to my funding campaign. I'm staying with family in Vermont now, so, I have the basics covered. But, I have a number of health needs that fall outside the bounds of medicaid. And, frankly, I have bills to pay that I can no longer cover. If it's within your means, I appreciate you considering this option.
Alternatively, there are other ways you could offer support:
First, I would really love to hear from you! Whether it's a letter or a postcard, tell me how things are going. It's likely we haven't spoken in a long time and, hearing about your lives would offer a real morale boost. Feel free to simply send a FB message as well. Or, heck, come pay a visit! I would definitely love that.

Another possible way to lend a hand: If all goes well this winter, I'll be living in an RV next summer with no internet. There is, however, a DVD player! If you have some old Dvds you're willing to send, this would be a fun way to help. If you go this route, I would say send a max of 3 to 5 :)
Finally, please consider sharing this post. The more we crowdsource this the easier it will be to reach my goal.
Friends, I really appreciate any help you can offer. My goal is to be able-bodied enough to begin working again next fall. I'm doing everything I can to get there. And one good sign? I'm finally able to walk short distances without my crutches.
Thank you so much for thinking of me.
Aaron
