This GoFundMe account has been created for my mom who is currently hospitalized at Northridge Medical Center. On February 9th, around 9 am, my mother had a very severe stroke caused by two blood clots on the left side of her brain leading her to lose her ability to speak, swallow, and paralysis on the right side of her body (Apraxia).  Many of you who know my mother know she is not one to give up and has been fighting to regain as much as she can. Claudia was put on a feeding tube through her nose and later did a procedure to place a G-tube for better nourishment to now eating on her own. She has regained function on her right leg and has now been able to walk on her own. After MANY tests(MRI's, Cat scans, lumbar puncture, x-rays, & blood work) the Doctor's have yet to find the root of what may have formed the blood clots and are trying very hard to prevent this from happening again. Claudia, has been making a miraculous recovery which has led the Doctors  to believe that she would make a wonderful candidate for a rehab facility so that she can get close to a full recovery. Unfortunately, My mom has no insurance. We are pulling strings and trying very hard to make ends meet with everyday bills to hospital bills. We ask you to please help us meet our goal to help my mom with the right support she needs to recover. anything is something and is very much appreciated.
