Hola, my name is Tracy Ginger, I am Canadian and reside as a permanent resident in Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico with my son and daughter-in-law and 3 granddaughters, 2.5,5, and 7 yrs old.

We own and operate a non profit Dog Rescue called Tracy Gingers Dog Rescue And Sanctuary, as well as restaurant, called Ginger Jungle rescue restaurant, which helps us fund our sanctuary. I am a full-time hairstylist, my daughter-in-law is a full-time aesthetician, and my son is a full-time chef in an our restaurant. We raise funds to help this local Street dogs get adopted and treated with vaccinations, sterilized, and any diseases prior to being adopted to their furever homes. We have rescued and adopted out over 400 dogs to Canada and the US and sterilized over 2000 dogs in the city of Progresso and area here in Mexico in 2022. Everything is paid for by myself and our restaurant, as well as anybody that donated money to our sanctuary.

Today I’m reaching out to you for a different reason other than my dog rescue

My 5 yr old granddaughter was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease,

It has created a heart problem, one side is bigger than the other its not pumping properly due to the inflammation, there is no strenght to pump, Kawasaki is already affected her heart , intestine , stomach & all her body with inflamation, the back of her neck. It is very painfull as she cannot sit on her own with put crying.

They deteced that her heart vessel is starting to get inflamated and with the hours going by it will increase and this is the valve which gives oxygen to the heart. She needs haemoglobin immediately.

Apart from the kawasaki Disease she also has Rotavirus .

On Monday, January 30 Mia was rushed her into CMA in Progreso with a high fever, vomiting and flu, like symptoms, she was given medication to bring the fever down. No major diagnosis was made. Tuesday, January 31 we tryed to control the fever and administered the medication’s. The doctor gave us an antibiotic, but by Wednesday morning February 1, we rushed her back to CMA as we discovered a horrifying rash all over her body and she was swollen. The doctors gave us yet more medication and asked us to bathe her in Epson salts.

When we woke up on Thursday, February 2, Mia was covered in a huge red rash and mostly on her back and genitals. We rushed her to Mérida emergency at Centro Medico Pensiones, where she is currently now admitted, and in an intensive care. She has been diagnosed with a very rare disease, called Kawasaki syndrome, which happens in children under the age of five years old, with no known reason as to why it happens. MIA just saw a cardiologist and was diagnosed with having a very swollen heart and fluid all around the heart. Her entire body is swollen as well, She has little to no haemoglobin and the arteries and valves, going to her heart or swelling and closing in she doesn’t have much time we need to start treatment immediately the Kawasaki has taken over her spine and her heart, and it is moving rapidly as I type, she needs emergency haemoglobin administered, as her entire body is swollen, limp, and anemic. Time is of the essence we must have an emergency fund raising event and go fund me as we must pay for this in advance.

They are just keeping Mia somewhat stable but the clock is ticking and she needs the medication urgently now.
