Our beautiful, brave friend (and one of the BEST humans many of us have ever met) has been battling Triple-Negative Breast Cancer since she was diagnosed during a routine screening in December of last year. As if this wasn't devastating enough, Jen was also 27 weeks pregnant, with her baby girl, at the time of her diagnosis. Jen was able to start chemotherapy, but due to complications, was unable to continue working at that time. Chemo was paused for a short time so Jen could give birth to beautiful little Catalina (what a warrior!), then back at it with weekly rounds of chemotherapy. After many complications, Jen finished 16 rounds of chemo earlier this month and seeing her ring that bell was everything!
Continuing on with her treatment plan, Jen was scheduled for a bilateral mastectomy + removal of a few lymph nodes next month, but she recently found out that her mass has grown. Her surgery was bumped up to tomorrow, 7/31.
Jen is one of those rare individuals who always goes the extra mile for the people (and pets!) she cares about. She is the beloved wife to Alex and "Super-Mom" to adorable kiddos, 3-year old Anthony & 5-month old Catalina. She is a cherished daughter, sister and aunt, as well as a world-class friend and rockstar veterinarian. She is simply one of our most favorite humans and we are all rooting for her as she kicks this nasty cancer for good!
We can't imagine what Jen is feeling and we wish we could take this all away! Since we don't have a magic wand, we can do this for her -- Please help us brighten Jen's day by making a donation to help lessen the burden of daily costs, while this amazing little family continues along this difficult journey. Thank you!!
We love you, Jen!! You got this!!
