A Family’s Heartbreak - Lynn Has Been Found, But the Journey Isn’t Over
After eight agonizing months of searching, our beloved Evelyn "Lynn" Smith was finally found, one day after her birthday. She had been missing since June 23, 2024, when she vanished without a trace. Our family never gave up hope, but the outcome we feared most has now become our heartbreaking reality.
Lynn was discovered off an embankment in Oregon on February 27, 2025, trapped in her vehicle, a place no one would have ever found her if not for a utility worker who happened to be working on a pole. She was there alone, lost to the world, for all these months. The thought of what she endured haunts us, and now we face the painful process of bringing her home and giving her the dignity she deserves.
Her Daughters, Jenny and Tina, Need Help to Lay Their Mother to Rest
Lynn’s daughters, are now left to handle everything, retrieving her mother’s vehicle, transporting her remains, and arranging a service. But Jenny is fighting her own battle.
- Jenny just suffered an aortic dissection, a life-threatening condition, she is a walking miracle on a long tender road to recovery.
- She has already endured months of stress, grief, and financial hardship while searching for her mother and quite literally a broken heart!
- She is not working due to severe medical issues.
Now, Jenny and Tina face a mountain of unexpected expenses, traveling to Oregon, costs associated with the recovery of the vehicle, cremation costs, the cost of transporting Lynn and any other incidental costs associated with such a horrific tragedy. They simply cannot do this alone.
How You Can Help
We are asking for any support to help during this unimaginable time. Every donation will go toward:
✅ Travel costs to Oregon, and the costs to the towing company and storage.
✅ Cremations services.
✅Transporting Lynn's remains so she can finally rest in peace.
✅ A service to honor her life and give our family closure.
✅ Basic financial support for Jenny so she can grieve without the added stress of financial ruin. No one should have to face losing their mother in such a tragic way while also battling their own life-threatening health issues.
If you can donate, please do. Every dollar helps ease the burden.
If you can’t donate, please share. Spreading the word can bring in the support Lynn's family desperately needs.
Our hearts are shattered, but with your kindness, we can at least ensure that Lynn is brought home with dignity and that Jenny and Tina have one less burden to carry.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
