As most of you know, my mother passed on 1/20/21. She chose to turn her LVAD off and her heart was too weak to continue. She fought so hard for so long. She was even planning to get a heart transplant. She ended up having 2 massive strokes, the most recent one leaving her completely paralyzed on the left side. She expressed to me on the morning of the 20th that she couldn’t live in the state her mind and body had been left in. Obviously, I was not expecting this to happen. I was expecting her to come home. I quit all 3 of my jobs back in November to take care of her full time. I wasn’t mentally, emotionally, or financially prepared for her passing. I don’t have any help from family and I would never ask for anything for myself. This is for my mother. She deserved a better life and I want to make sure she is honored in her death. ANYTHING helps.
