Last night was a terrible night that no one should have to go through. My boyfriend’s mom Sue Mangus lost her barn and everything in it to a devastating fire. It was a complete loss. Thankfully her horses were not in the barn last night, a blessing by God that they were in the pasture. A barn that was not just a barn to her but her sanctuary, her breath of fresh air, a place to go and truly show her love for her horses. She lost everything last night. Numerous saddles, each carrying a story or memory. Endless amounts of tack, blankets, saddle pads. The tractor to mow the fields and help with bigger projects. All in the flash of an eye, gone. I am at a loss for words for how she may be feeling, but I am hoping as a community of friends, family, and fellow horse lovers, we can raise some money to help her try and rebuild everything she has lost. She is one of the strongest and toughest women I know, and she always gives back or lends a hand. She will rise from this no matter what, but if anyone can spare a moment of time or help, every little bit would make a difference
