The Komissaroff Family

Hi, I’m Eileen Orihuela, and I’m raising money for the family of Alan Komissaroff, a wonderful father and devoted husband, who unexpectedly died on January 20th. He was 47 years old. He leaves behind his wife, Rachael, and his children, Ben and Olivia.

Alan started dating Rachael when they were both in high school. They’ve been married more than 20 years. On Sunday, January 8th, Alan was exercising at home, when he came upstairs and told Rachael he wasn’t feeling well. She called 911, and his heart stopped while paramedics were taking him to the hospital. He slipped into a coma, and never regained consciousness.

Alan was the family’s rock. He spent decades as a TV producer in New York; he loved his work, but he loved his wife and kids so much more.

Rachael is a longtime schoolteacher in New York City. Ben is 17, and Olivia is 13, and Alan’s overwhelming desire was for both his kids to have a chance to go to college. We want to make sure Alan’s dream lives on, even now that he’s gone.
