One of our neighbors has humbly reached out in a time of dire need, and we need to help her and her family through these trying times. They have had to make tough decisions on which bills to pay due to unforeseen medical circumstances, and unfortunately these tough decisions have resulted in Xcel energy being very overdue with the prospect of service being cut off within days.
We have all fallen on hard times, and this family needs help to pay their electric bill. If we can get the bill down to $1100, the family can then make payment arrangements with Xcel Energy. Wouldn't it be amazing to pay it all and take a weight off of their shoulders!! The family has reached out to LEAP, and other resources for help. LEAP paid $200, so that was very helpful!
I know times have been hard for everyone. Let's show people that we can still do good and help others! I'd hate for these kiddos to go without electricity. In these unprecedented times with a pandemic, unemployment, anxiety, child care and school crisis - it is imperative that we focus on helping those closest to us - our family, extended family, and neighbors.
I hope people won't judge, and I really hope we can come together as a community to help this family!
Felisha has worked tirelessly with multiple organizations to help her family, and while some relief has come through, every charity is at its breaking point with the current crisis.
Katie and others have worked hard to verify this situation it legit - it is. We're asked for you to donate whatever you can to help Felisha and her family (working husband and 3 children) to at least have electricity heading into this holiday season. Anything donated over the current Xcel bill will go towards ensuring the kids have gifts this Christmas.
