On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa tore through our community, leaving behind a path of devastation that none of us will ever forget. In just a few hours, homes were flooded, families were displaced, and lives were turned upside down.

Many of our friends, neighbours, and loved ones lost everything — their houses, vehicles, belongings, and in some heartbreaking cases, even the sense of safety and stability that comes with having a home. The storm’s impact was overwhelming: entire neighborhoods under water, power and water systems destroyed, and local businesses forced to close indefinitely.

We are organizing this GoFundMe to help families rebuild their homes, replace essential belongings, and cover immediate recovery costs like food, clothing, temporary shelter, and medical care. Every dollar raised will go directly toward those in need — people who are trying to piece their lives back together after losing so much.
