Kenny is a father of 4 and loves  dogs.   He has lived on Big Pine Key for the past 35 years and everyone knows him.    During the hurricanes  he rescued 7 dogs and helped anyone in need.   


On August 19  Kenny was air lifted out of the Keys to Miami and emergency surgery early on the 20th.    He left for the Keys paralyzed  from the waist down.  He has been at Mount Sinai for almost a month in intensive care.   His doctor said he has MRSA.

He may need a wheel chair ramp and some type of elevator to get him up and down the steps and God forbid, he may need  a wheelchair accessible van.   The doctor said we may not know anything about return of function for at least 6 months, if whether his feeling comes back or it might not come back at all.
