On Aug 20, my buddy Matt was in an accident while riding his motorcycle. It resulted in a broken back, foot, and extensive damage to large parts of his body. He has a long road to recovery that's going to rack up medical bills while also keeping him out of work. Even with insurance, by day 2, their financial obligation is already stacking up. This is where we can help our friend and his family with a little generosity. If everyone gives a little, we can make a big difference.

They were very reluctant to accept help. It was suggested to them; they didn't ask for this. They said they needed help but had never asked for help before. I've been there. It's hard. You worry about what people will think. You worry about how people will look at you. So, I'm asking for them because that's what friends are for.

Even if you can't or don't want to donate, check up on Veach and encourage him. Check on his family. Add Matt and Ashley to your prayer list. Take some time to drop off food. These are times when we should rally around our friends when they need us.
