Help for Jeff and family
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am organizing this fundraiser to help Jeff and his family who have gone through more medical crisis than anyone could possibly imagine! Please read Jeff’s long journey below and keep him in your prayers.
In 2013, husband and father of two young children Jeff Leblanc, was diagnosed with stage 4 oral squamous cell carcinoma cancer. He underwent a painful surgery and a long series of treatments. Over the years, radiation caused many irreversible side effects including loss of teeth and loss of saliva causing reoccurring painful infections as well as not being able to eat any solid foods ever again.
Over the years, Jeff has suffered a lot at the hand of cancer however, his positive attitude on life, undeniable love for his family and unwavering faith in God kept him going. He always sees the good in people and takes the greatest pleasure in the simplest things in life.
In March this year, pain was becoming unbearable and pieces of bone were coming out of his mouth. He was diagnosed with osteoradionecrosis, a rare side effect of radiation that can be fatal. His only hope was hyperbaric oxygen treatments but there was a catch, the cost was $17,000 out of pocket as this is not covered by Medicare NB. As Jeff has always been such a giving man to anyone in need, friends, family and the community came together and rallied up the funds so Jeff could benefit from these treatments. He saw positive results and was very encouraged until a later biopsy determined that a considerable size Stage 4 tumor resided in his jawbone/neck area. This meant Jeff had to undergo an intense surgery to remove the cancer and reconstruct the area with bone and tissue taken from his leg. The 14-hour surgery took place in Halifax on August 19th. The days and weeks following were of excruciating pain. After a couple of weeks, the devastating news that the tissue had died. On September 9th, another 14 hour excruciatingly painful surgery. This time, a much larger area of tissue and blood vessels were taken from his thigh to close the surgical area to his face and neck. So far, the tissue seems healthy. A third surgery will be scheduled to remove additional tissue and do reconstruction. Jeff still has a long hospital stay (possibly months) ahead of him in Halifax.
All the while his unconditional loving wife Josée is by his side 24/7. She has been his constant source of support, strength and love. During this time, they have two kids at home that are missed tremendously.
Being self-employed, no money is coming in. Imagine being away from your home and kids, in constant pain and uncertainty, while having to worry about paying the bills when the only worry should be to heal.
Jeff has done many fundraisers over the years for the sick and needy. It is our time to give back and help Jeff and his amazing family. He should not have to worry financially as he is fighting for his life.
No amount is too small. You can donate anonymously if you wish. It all adds up. We just never know when our time of need will come.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
God bless ♥️
