The NH Food Bank Needs Our Help!

The Federal Aviation Administration Managers Association (FAAMA) New England Chapter is joining with the New Hampshire Food Bank in a fundraising campaign to help support the food bank during this global pandemic. As FAAMA members, our mission is to promote aviation safety and efficiency, advocate for our members’ interests, prepare the managers of today to be the leaders of tomorrow, and support the highest ideals of the Federal Government. The NH Food Bank is an organization that represents the best of what we believe in. WE Want YOU to join us in making a difference! This month we are raising money to benefit NH Food Bank, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us. In response to the statewide impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the NH Food Bank is taking necessary steps to prepare for an anticipated rise in food insecurity across the state. They are diligently working to increase their food purchasing, doubling meal production, establishing modified mobile food pantries and working with their agencies across the state to learn where the need is greatest so that they may provide additional needed resources. They continue to closely monitor the situation and are taking important measures of caution when it comes to safety and sanitation. Right now, the NH Food Bank is seeing an increase in ordering from their partner agencies throughout the state. Grocery store reclamations of shelf stable and fresh rescue (protein) are down. They have requested their grocery partners palletize donations and leave them on the docks for their drivers to pick up. No one is really holding any food drives and a lot of our third party events have been cancelled. Because of increased demand, they are having to purchase food for distribution. They do not receive any federal for state funding for food distribution so they rely on the generosity of folks like you, businesses, grants, etc. The NH Food Bank provides food to over 425 partner agencies throughout the state. Their importance cannot be overstated, and their need is greater than ever. Please help us make a difference to those in need here in New Hampshire!
