My name is Alan R.H. Nettles. I am an alumnus of Howard University and The Academy of Art University. I'm currently studying film production with a concentration in screenwriting and directing. My dream is to become an internationally known, criticcally acclaimed film director. Last year, I launched my startup production company "Moving4ward Productions." This company specializes in the advancement of television & film producing diverse content that speaks to people of all ages from all backgrounds. I currently have an executive team of five working with me. This summer I finished my directorial debut film entitled, 3 Blind Boys on the Block. It premiered in Atlanta at the Urban Mediamakers Film Festival and in Chicago at the Chi-Town Multicultural Film Fest leaving Chicago with the 2015 Best of Fest Award.
Recently, I was selected out of 500,000 applicants to participate in The Creative Minds Group Filmmakers Internship Program at the annual Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Creative Minds is dedicated to finding the next generation of talented film & TV professionals and ushering them into the entertainment industry. To date they've brought 1,500+ participants to film festivals all over the world, setup over 750 internships, produced more then 75 films and provided 100+ jobs for our alumni. The time I'll spend in Park City will undoubtedly bring me one step closer towards achieving my goals of being a film & TV industry professional.
But I cannot do this without your help. My finanial support system consists of my mom and myself. I need your support to make this fantastic opportunity a reality.
Please donate what you can. Every little bit helps.
