Hello Friends,

In August of 2022 I was officially diagnosed with breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma) I was misdiagnosed TWICE and the second time was given antibiotics for mastitis. This caused the cancer to spread from my left breast to the right and by the time I was diagnosed in August it was recommended I remove both breasts. Besides removing the breasts, it was also recommended I seek out a fertility specialist to

freeze my eggs because chemo would damage my ovaries. The bills are starting to accumulate already and Ive just gotten started on this journey. I started my first round of chemo on Tuesday September 6 and it was HELL! I have three more rounds once a month to go before surgery.

I am unable to work because I can not risk an infection of any kind. I had to put my candle business on pause because I can no longer attend large gatherings.

I can handle my cost of living but these medical bills are outside my control and so I must ask for help. 

Not for nothing, I do plan on making good use of this time by spreading awareness for breast cancer in women under the age of 40.

Currently 40 is the age at which at which women are recommended to get a mammogram. After my diagnoses many women under the age of 40 have reached out to me to tell me they had breast cancer too at a young age. After my second misdiagnoses local dj Bella posted on her instagram that she had breast cancer, she was only 26. Same day - Betty from GoBettyGo posted that she had breast cancer and so did Patricia Day from Horrorpops. These women posting about thier breast cancer online prompted me to switch my doctor immediately. Within a week I was diagnosed and started my journey to healing. Honestly, had these  women not shared their journey I would have just accepted that misdiagnoses of mastitis and the cancer would have probably spread to other parts of my body.

So as a way to pay it forward I plan on sharing my story so another woman out there with a lump who was told not to worry “you’re too young” I hope she demands a mammogram and saves her titties
