The home we rented and loved was completely destroyed by the Camp Fire on 11/8/2018. It burned to the ground losing everything in it! Eleanor and I got out as the fire was traveling so fast throughout Magalia and Paradise . At one point fearing for our life as the flames were at the roadside closing our route , we were able to turn around and head in a different direction finding our way 7 hours later to safety. We left hoping and praying to get back home that evening only to find out two weeks later that our home was gone, along with my new truck, garage and our shop where I did all my wood crafts . All my tools for auto and wood working and Eleanor had her crafts( yarn,fabric, etc...)stored along with many years of our personal belongings. All gone!! We had no fire insurance to rely on to help with the loss. The money from this account will help pay for another truck and possibly a small RV so we can return to California and other personal items needed. After renting hotel rooms for several days we found a Bed and Breakfast in Nevada that was willing to rent us a small furnished apt. Monthly.  The only things we had were 3 changes of clothes and our dog Storm whom we have had to board since the fire. We are completely starting over!!! All of our pictures,Eleanors childhood memories are gone as well as my medical supplys ( walker, canes, etc...) holiday decorations,  hunting and fishing gear, camping gear, electronics, hard drives etc... leaving us heartbroken  for the place we called home. Now we are left trying to replace the things we lost. For those of you who have asked us how they can help, thank you all for your incredible  love and support .
