Dalton Taylor Memorial Music Scholarship Fund

Hi - we're Mike & Wendy Moroz and we're fundraising for our nephew Dalton Taylor. Dalton was tragically hit and killed by a car on Tuesday April 29th. He had just turned 27 two days prior on April 27th.

One of our fondest memories is taking Dalton to open mic nights where he could jam with bands on stage at Cottage Bistro on Main Street. We also went to some of the coolest rock concerts together: Green Day, Van Halen, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Slipknot. It was a great chance to hangout and get to know each other better - and we will cherish those memories forever.

To honour and celebrate his life, his sister Izabel thought it would be a fantastic idea to raise money for music education and give back to his community - specifically his high school.

The Dalton Taylor Memorial: Music Scholarship Fund will be awarded annually for the next five years (2025-2029) to one Hugh Boyd Secondary School Grade 12 graduate, furthering their study of music or the music industry. Dalton was a great guitar player and playing always brought him joy and was great for his mental health, in high school and beyond.

If our goal is surpassed the extra money will be donated to the Richmond SPCA - Dalton adored his best buddy Teddy and was a huge animal lover.
