Rosie's new wheels
Donation protected
My name is Rosie and I’m a 22-year-old from Melbourne, Australia. I have multiple chronic illnesses including Dysautonomia and Gastroparesis, along with underlying genetic connective tissue issues. Due to this, my walking is limited and I’ve been a mobility aid user for five years.
Unfortunately, my current wheelchair is a second hand, generic fold out wheelchair. It’s been falling apart for months and has caused back and hip issues due to its lack of support. I desperately need a proper wheelchair modified to my body, but this is not cheap.
Despite my limitations, I have been proud to begin studying a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I never let my conditions stop me from going out and doing what I love.
A new wheelchair would give me some of my independence back, it would help me to live my life properly. With your help, I can get to my appointments, do my university degree, buy my own groceries, go out with friends or go on walks with my dog in nature. These little things will make all the difference for me.
Thank you so much for helping me and my family by donating or sharing.
